Franculino Dju, the Guinea-Bissau striker, has made his return to action for FC Midtjylland after a lengthy injury break. He played for 30 minutes in a friendly match against Silkeborg, marking his first appearance since getting injured in December last year.

Coach Mike Tullberg was impressed with Franculino's performance, indicating a positive step forward for the team. Franculino had undergone minor surgery and was expected to be ready in March, but it seems he's getting back on track sooner.

“Francu was back for half an hour after four months, and that was great. It was also great to see his condition. Of course, he is not where he was before he was injured, but he was still further along than I had thought. He was involved in two or three chances, so I was really pleased,“ said Mike Tullberg after the match to bold.dk

This player is on fire. He's racking up goals in the Danish Superliga with FC Midtjylland, scoring 38 times in just 72 matches since joining in summer 2023. Now, he's hungry for more, aiming to take his tally even higher this season.

“I always want to score goals, and I want to score 100 goals. I'll save the goals for Saturday. That is, if I get 45 minutes,“ he said to TV2 Sport after the game. 

Franculino's likely to be on the bench for FC Midtjylland's big match against Sonderjyske on Saturday. The team's title hopes are riding on this game, and a win could put them top of the Danish Superliga alongside AGF.
