Cristiano Ronaldo made a spectacular return to the pitch, scoring a brace in the second half as Al Nassr dominated Al Najma 5-2 in the Saudi Pro League. The Portuguese forward had been sidelined for a month due to a hamstring injury, missing Al Nassr's previous two league matches and Portugal's friendlies against Mexico and the United States.

Ronaldo's return is a huge boost for Al Nassr, who are currently top of the Saudi Pro League standings with 67 points from 26 matches. He's also chasing his first major title with the club since joining in 2022.

Al Najma, who've won just once in 27 league games, took a surprise lead a minute before halftime through Rakan Al Tulayhi. Al Nassr responded swiftly, with Abdullah Al Hamdan and Sadio Mane scoring in first-half stoppage time to turn the game around.

Al Najma leveled the game 2-2 two minutes after the restart through Felippe Cardoso, but Al Nassr took back control when Ronaldo scored a penalty in the 56th minute.

Ronaldo added his second in the 73rd minute, and Mane sealed the win with a stoppage-time strike. Al Nassr's 13th consecutive league win keeps them top of the standings on 70 points, six clear of second-placed Al Hilal.
