If the organizers follow a similar timeline this year, the women’s singles draw is expected on Sunday, April 19 around 19:00 CET, while the men’s singles draw should take place on Monday, April 20 at approximately 11:00 CET. A total of 96 players will compete in the main draw, including those who qualify and wildcard entries.

Seedings

The top 32 players will be seeded and receive a first-round bye, meaning they will not face another seeded opponent until at least the third round. For the 2026 Mutua Madrid Open, seeding will be determined by the official rankings on April 13 for women and April 20 for men.

Qualifying

The main draw will also include players who successfully advance through the two-round qualifying competition. There are 48 qualifying spots available for both men and women, with only the top 12 from each qualifying event earning a place in the main draw. Qualifying matches will take place on Monday and Tuesday, April 20–21.
