UCL: NAPOLI MANAGER, SPALLETTI, SAYS OSIMHEN ISN'T QUITE AT HIS BEST YET

Osimhen made his return to the field in the UEFA Champions League match after missing more than a month due to injury.

Five minutes after the break, the forward came on to replace Giacomo Raspadori and ended Ajax's hopes of a comeback by scoring Napoli's fourth goal in the 89th minute.

Spalletti insisted that although the 23-year-old displayed flashes of his best during the game, he is not yet fully fit.

"Osimhen was often offside because he was so eager that he started the runs early," Spalletti explained after the game.

"He is not yet in the right shape to help out his teammates, but we tried to keep the ball more in the second half and use Osimhen's ability in the air for long balls."

Osimhen has six goals this season in six games for the Partenopei in all competitions.
