"I KILLED HIM TO RELIEVE HIS PAIN," A 26-YEAR-OLD MAN SUSPECTED RITUALIST

"I killed him to relieve his pain," a 26-year-old man who murdered a farmer for religious reasons tells police

Olaolu Falowo, a 26-year-old suspected ritualist, has told police why he killed a farmer and removed his body parts for money rituals in Kuseru Village, Ondo State.

The suspect was arrested alongside his father after the victim's limps (2 legs and 2 arms and hands) were discovered in his house and a human skull in a sack was discovered during a police detectives' search.

The victim was allegedly murdered and his body parts removed by the suspected ritualist in collaboration with his father.

On Tuesday, September 6, while being paraded in Akure, the suspect claimed he killed the victim, whom he claimed was a lunatic, to relieve his pains. According to him, the victim was a deranged man who was dying in the woods.

"The victim is a sick lunatic. He was killed to relieve his pains, and a portion of his body was taken to be sacrificed "He stated.

A family member of the deceased, however, refuted the suspect's claim, saying that his brother was hail and hearty before being gruesomely murdered on his farm by the suspect.

"The suspect was in police custody for a case of attempted car theft and when a search was conducted in his house, human limps (2 legs and 2 arms hands) were recovered while a human skull in a sack was recovered from his father's house," said the command's spokesperson, Funmi Odunlami.
