People thronged Taraba airport, including top politicians, to welcome/celebrate former Governor Jolly Nyame, who was recently granted presidential pardon after stealing billions from the state.

What a shame that someone convicted of bribery is being feted as if he won the Nobel Peace Prize.

To be honest, this is extremely painful given that he stole billions, was convicted by a court, and was later granted a pardon.

If you are an elite thief in Nigeria, you may be forgiven your sins even if the treasurer bears the consequences of your thievery.

Sometimes the people get the leaders they deserve.
