EPL: TODD BOEHLY FRUSTRATES THOMAS TUCHEL OVER GABRIEL JESUS
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was left frustrated by the club's owners after failing to sign Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus ahead of Arsenal.
Todd Boehly decided to show the German the door after Chelsea's 1-0 Champions League loss to Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday.
Tuchel was fired after weeks of conflict with the club's new co-owner, Boehly.
The new club's owner was said to be dissatisfied with the former Borussia Dortmund manager's lack of input and communication regarding transfers, with the German preferring to focus on coaching his squad.
According to The Athletic, the former PSG manager was initially opposed to signing a new striker during the summer transfer window following his difficulties with Romelu Lukaku last season.
After changing his mind, he was 'frustrated' that the Blues' hierarchy did not move to sign Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus.
According to the report, Jesus was interested in joining Chelsea but ultimately chose Arsenal.
Chelsea has announced the appointment of Graham Potter, the manager of Brighton, as their new manager.
