CHELSEA WILL RETURN FOR RONALDO AS POTTER TRIES TO PLEASE BOEHLY

Cristiano Ronaldo

When the transfer window opens in January, Chelsea are expected to rekindle their interest in Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

In the summer, the 37-year-old was linked with a number of clubs as he attempted to force his way out of Old Trafford.

However, the club's manager, Thomas Tuchel, disagreed with co-owner Todd Boehly on signing Ronaldo.

Tuchel instead brought in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona to bolster his attacking options.

Tuchel has since been fired, and Graham Potter has taken his place.

Potter, according to Fichajes, will take a different approach than the German and make a January bid to test the waters.
