IPOB ORDERS TOTAL LOCKDOWN IN THE SOUTHEAST ON TUESDAY

The Indigenous People of Biafra, or IPOB, has declared a sit-in across the Southeast for next Tuesday.

IPOB designated the sit-in as a day of civil disobedience across the Southeast.

The order was issued ahead of Nnamdi Kanu's appeal court hearing and President Muhammadu Buhari's planned visit to the Southeast.

According to an IPOB spokesman, Emma Powerful, the sit-in would be a total lockdown of the Southeast.

The IPOB stated that it was enforcing the existing sit-in order for Kanu's court appearance.

"The global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the command and leadership of our indefatigable liberator Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu Kanu, wish to announce to the general public, particularly Biafrans, that Tuesday, September 13th, has been declared a day of civil action in the form of a sit-at-home in Biafra Land."

"The civil action on Tuesday, September 13th, 2022 is critical for two reasons:

"First, our leader's appeal court hearing, which was scheduled for October 11th, has been moved to September 13th, 2022. As usual, we call on Biafrans and freedom supporters to show their support for our leader, who has been bearing our yoke in detention for over a year.

"On Tuesday, September 13th, 2022, there will be a TOTAL LOCKDOWN of Biafraland because the Imposter Buhari cannot come to Imo State while he continues to detain our leader Mazi Nnamdi in DSS custody."

The separatist group urged people in the Southeast to go about their daily lives on Monday and fully prepare for Tuesday's lockdown."
