21-YEAR-OLD MAN WAS ARRESTED IN NASARAWA FOR CHOPPING OFF THE WRIST OF A MAN WHO ASSAULTED HIS GIRLFRIEND

Usman Danladi, 21, has been arrested by police in Nasarawa State for allegedly chopping off the wrist of one Jibrin Abdullahi, 25, during a fight over a girl in the state's Karu LGA.

According to reports, the suspect was arrested on Saturday, September 17, a day after allegedly committing the heinous crime, for attempted culpable homicide.

According to the command's spokesperson, DSP Ramhan Nansel, in a statement issued on Sunday, September 18, 2022, the suspect who confessed to the crime claimed that the victim assaulted him, resulting in a fight.

Upon receiving the information, police officers from the Goshen City Division, led by CSP Eunice Ogbadu, rushed to the scene and transported the victim to the Federal Medical Centre in Keffi for treatment.

As a result, an intensive manhunt for the perpetrator of the heinous act was launched. The investigators' efforts were rewarded on September 17, 2022, when the prime suspect, one Usman Danladi 'M' 21yrs A.K. A murderer was apprehended.

"During interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime but claimed that the victim had previously assaulted his girlfriend (Aisha), and when he confronted him, a fight ensued; in the process, he attacked the victim with a machete," according to the statement.
