THOMAS TUCHEL PROVIDES CHELSEA TRANSFER VERDICT AMID FOFANA, AUBAMEYANG, GORDON AND ZAHA CHASE

In light of the pursuit of Fofana, Aubameyang, Gordon, and Zaha, Thomas Tuchel gives Chelsea a transfer recommendation.

Wesley Fofana is anticipated to join Chelsea before the transfer window closes, although further players may still be available.

Thomas Tuchel, the manager of Chelsea, has acknowledged that since the transfer window is about to close, his team might use more players. However, the German coach said that no matter what happens, he will be content and, if necessary, find answers using the players he now has.

The Blues are the biggest spenders this summer after bringing in first team players Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly, Marc Cucurella, and Carney Chukwuemeka. They are also rumored to have reached a £70 million deal for Wesley Fofana. The defender for Leicester City is anticipated to sign this week, although Tuchel remained mum after the victory over the Foxes.

The Frenchman is the most well-known figure linked to joining Chelsea, although Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Anthony Gordon, and Wilfried Zaha are also among those names. Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner have left Chelsea's forward line, and Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech, and Christian Pulisic may follow them. To make those possible, incoming moves might be needed.

Despite the fact that the transfer window is almost over, Tuchel declared: "When September 1 rolls around, I will be a happy coach regardless of what happens. I will try to find solutions and not dwell about what might have occurred or what could have been.

"Reality is everything, and at this particular time [against Leicester], what mattered was finding a way to win. The same will apply at Southampton; find a method to triumph, take initiative personally, and motivate the group from my side. No matter if players show up or not, this is what we shall do.

Despite its size, Chelsea's midfield is one that is destined for change. The contracts of N'Golo Kante and Jorginho are slated to expire at the conclusion of 2022–23, although the club has possibilities for this season in Mateo Kovacic, Conor Gallagher, Chukwuemeka, and the still-available Ethan Ampadu and Billy Gilmour.

It is, and usually that's the part where I'd love to have a headache about who starts and who sits out. Normally, I would have assumed that we would have five players available to us, with Carney [Chukwuemekal] topping the list as a potential young player.

When it comes to the fifth game, there may only be two players remaining with experience in this position and Kova will likely sit on the bench because he isn't ready to play full matches at Premier League level after only having recovered from his injury for a week.

It's an odd scenario, and one we don't enjoy. Actually, I have no idea why we are in this circumstance. It's like this, and we will have to consider [the team selection]; nevertheless, it may not be necessary because it is so clear who we have left.
