Pakistan have been hit with an 11-point deduction in the World Test Championship and had 50% of their match fees docked for a slow over-rate in last week’s Test against England in Birmingham, the ICC announced on Monday.

England won the Birmingham Test by eight wickets to sweep the series 3-0, with Pakistan 11 overs short of their required rate, the ICC said.

The penalty leaves Pakistan bottom of the WTC table with just five points from nine matches.

The WTC final between the table-toppers will be held at The Oval in London in June 2027.

Pakistan’s next assignment is a two-Test home series against Sri Lanka in November.
