Arsenal are said to be putting Myles Lewis-Skelly on the market this summer, with both Chelsea and Manchester United reportedly offered the opportunity to sign him.
The 19-year-old emerged from Arsenal’s academy two years ago and quickly became a key player under Mikel Arteta. But his role has since been reduced under the manager.
Arsenal have brought in Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes for £75m to play alongside Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi, Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino. That influx has left very little space for Lewis-Skelly in midfield.
The 19-year-old can also operate at left-back, but his chances there have taken a hit too. Ricardo Calafiori is ahead of him, and the arrival of Piero Hincapie – who can also cover in defence has added more competition.
Arteta has a history of giving academy graduates opportunities, but according to Ben Jacobs, he now feels it’s time for Lewis-Skelly to move on. The report claims Arsenal have offered the teenager to their Premier League rivals.

There’s little doubt the 19-year-old will find minutes hard to come by at Arsenal this season. A move to either Chelsea or United could give the teenager the fresh start he needs.
Reports say the England international wants regular first-team football – something Arsenal can’t guarantee him right now. If Chelsea or United meet his personal terms, they could have a clear run at signing him away from the Gunners.
