The Minnesota Twins have acquired All-Star closer Jeff Hoffman from the Toronto Blue Jays in a trade that sends pitcher Dasan Hill, pitcher John Klein, and infielder Dameury Pena to Toronto.

Hoffman, 33, has worked primarily out of the bullpen this year. In 51 appearances he has a 3.94 ERA with five saves. The veteran has recorded 75 strikeouts in 48 innings - 15 shy of a career high - while allowing 48 hits and 18 walks.

Hill, 20, ranks as Minnesota’s No. 7 prospect. This season between Single-A and High-A he has posted a 3.19 ERA with 83 strikeouts across 62 innings.

Klein, 24, has made 3 appearances for the Twins this year with a 4.15 ERA. He also owns a 5.91 ERA in Triple-A.

Pena, 20, is hitting .300/.373/.362 in 83 games split between Single-A and High-A. He has 1 home run, 47 RBI, and 20 stolen bases.
