Chicago Bears safety Coby Bryant is expected to be out 8-10 weeks after hyperextending his left knee. He also suffered a bone bruise and a small fracture.


Bryant, 27, won’t need surgery, but the recovery will take several weeks.




Bryant, 27, inked a three-year, $40 million deal with Chicago this offseason. He spent the previous four seasons with Seattle, where he logged 66 tackles and set career highs with 7 pass breakups and 4 interceptions. He was also part of the Seahawks team that beat the New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl.


The Bears open their 2026 season on September 13th against the Carolina Panthers.
