Hoffenheim sign Adam Daghim from Salzburg in €14.5m deal...

Adam Daghim’s €14.5m switch to Hoffenheim from RB Salzburg is now official. According to German outlet Kicker, Hoffenheim are paying €13m up front, with performance-related add-ons that could push the total deal to around €14.5m.

Daghim spent three years at RB Salzburg after joining from Danish side AGF Aarhus as a teenager. He also had a loan stint with feeder club Liefering in 2023/24, and picked up Bundesliga experience last season during a spell at Wolfsburg.

“Adam is a young, talented player and, with his skills and tremendous pace, was the obvious choice for the profile we were looking for,” explained Hoffenheim sporting director Andreas Schicker. “At just 20 years of age, he has great potential for development and yet can already draw on international experience at club level and with the national team. He is also familiar with the Bundesliga from last season's stint at Wolfsburg.”

During his time at Wolfsburg, Daghim featured 30 times in all competitions, scoring twice and adding one assist. His spell came as the Volkswagen club were relegated from the Bundesliga.

Daghim, who earned his first senior cap for Denmark earlier this year against Ukraine, has put pen to paper on a long-term contract. The 20-year-old could debut for Hoffenheim on 22 August in the DFB Cup away to third-division side Erzgebirge Aue.

“I'm really looking forward to my time at Hoffenheim. I know what opportunities this club in particular offers young players in terms of development,” said Daghim. “That's why I made a very conscious decision to join TSG, and I'm ready to go and quickly find my place in the team here. I want to do everything I can to ensure we're successful together.”
