Top seeds Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten pulled off another comeback at Wimbledon 2026, rallying from a set down to beat Guido Andreozzi and Manuel Guinard 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 and reach the men’s doubles quarter-finals.

The win sends the Finnish-British duo back to the SW19 semi-finals for the first time since winning the title two years ago. They’ve taken the tough route, with this marking the third straight match they’ve won in a 10-point match tiebreak.

The world No.1 pair dropped the opening set again, just like in the last round. But while they started 5-7 against Adam Pavlasek and Patrik Rikl previously, this time it was more one-sided. Andreozzi and Guinard broke serve in back-to-back games to go up 4-0, then held comfortably to take the set 6-2.

Heliovaara and Patten had to fend off four break points in the first game of the second set, but that was their only real wobble. The eighth seeds then imploded in game 10, failing to win a single point on serve, which allowed the top seeds to level the match at 6-4.

There were no freebies in the third set from either team. It reached deuce just once and didn’t produce a single break point, forcing a 10-point match tiebreak.

Andreozzi and Guinard rallied from 3-1 down to tie it at 3-3 and 4-4, with six of the first eight points going against serve. But Heliovaara and Patten found their groove first, taking five of the next six points and closing out the tiebreak 10-6 on their second match point.

The defending champions will now face Australia’s Thanasi Kokkinakis and USA’s Aleksandar Kovacevic in the semi-finals.
