After a five-set defeat to Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon, Felix Auger-Aliassime said it would be his last tournament with coach Frederic Fontang after nearly 10 years together.

Felix Auger-Aliassime has split with longtime coach Frederic Fontang after losing to Novak Djokovic in five sets in the Wimbledon quarter-finals.

With Fontang in his corner, Auger-Aliassime won nine ATP singles titles and reached a career-high world No. 4 ranking.

The decision ends a 10-year partnership that began when Fontang started coaching Auger-Aliassime at 16.

“After nearly ten years of working together, it has recently been decided that Wimbledon would be my last tournament with Frederic by my side as my coach,” Auger-Aliassime said in an Instagram post on Friday.
