Yoshinobu Yamamoto lost his no-hitter with one out left in the 9th vs the White Sox for the second straight season. He finished with 1 hit, 0 walks, 7 Ks as Dodgers won 7-1.

Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto had his no-hitter broken up in the ninth inning Saturday vs the White Sox. It’s the second straight year he’s lost a no-no in the final frame.

The 27-year-old left a fastball over the plate to Tristan Peters, who sent it just inside the right-field foul pole for his third home run of the season to spoil the bid.

Before Saturday, Yamamoto had given up fewer than three hits in just one start this year. In his last outing June 6, he went eight innings against the Angels with two hits and one run.

On Saturday he finished with one hit, zero walks, and seven strikeouts. He left the mound to a standing ovation from fans of both the Dodgers and White Sox.

LA took the game 7-1 with homers from Shohei Ohtani and two from Max Muncy, plus Kyle Tucker driving in two runs.

Yamamoto nearly had a no-hitter in 2025 as well. Against the Orioles, Baltimore broke it up with two outs left in the bottom of the ninth.

After the one-hit shutout vs Chicago, Yamamoto lowered his ERA to 2.52 for the season and pushed his strikeout total to 80.

The win moved the Dodgers to 45-26 and kept them on top of the NL West. Only Atlanta sits ahead of them at 46-24, the best record in the National League and MLB.
