Torino Eye Gennaro Gattuso as Next Manager After Poor Season
Gattuso left the Italy job in April after failing to qualify for the 2026 World Cup and could return to club management.
Tuttosport reports Torino are keen on appointing the ex-AC Milan midfielder as their next manager...
Torino are weighing up a move for former Italy boss Gennaro Gattuso following a poor run of results.
Gattuso is reportedly in line to take charge of the Serie A club.
The 48-year-old’s nine-month tenure, which began in June 2025, ended after a penalty shootout defeat to Bosnia & Herzegovina in the playoffs.
Just a month after stepping down from the four-time world champions, Gattuso is already being lined up for another job. According to Tuttosport, Torino want to bring in the ex-AC Milan midfielder to replace Roberto D’Aversa.
Should the appointment go ahead, Gattuso would be handed a three-year deal at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino. Club president Urbano Cairo is said to be a strong admirer of the Italian coach.
Torino’s Serie A season has fallen short of expectations, with the side sitting 13th in the table and 21 points adrift of the European qualification spots.
