Pedro scored the winner in his final game for Lazio, giving the Aquile a win that left Pisa bottom of the table. The goal completed a comeback after Stefano Moreo had put Pisa ahead.

Lazio ended the season in a tense mood after losing the Coppa Italia final to Inter and then the Derby della Capitale. Maurizio Sarri was widely expected to leave as coach, while president Claudio Lotito criticized both players and fans.

Even with it being Pedro’s farewell, the ultras continued their boycott of home matches. Lazio were without Nuno Tavares, Nicolo Rovella and Kenneth Taylor through suspension, and Mattia Zaccagni, Ivan Provedel and Edoardo Motta due to injury. Third-choice goalkeeper Alessio Furlanetto started again after making his Serie A debut the week before.

Pisa’s mood was just as low, with relegation confirmed weeks earlier after only one season in Serie A. They came into the game having lost eight in a row. Antonio Caracciolo missed out through suspension, while Daniel Denoon, Matteo Tramoni and Francesco Coppola were sidelined by injury.

Isak Vural went close in the first 30 seconds with a curling shot that drifted just wide. Matteo Cancellieri then capitalized on a slip from Bozhinov, but Adrian Semper got a fingertip to the ball to keep it out.

Adam Marusic came close in the 8th minute when his strike hit the outside of the near post from a tight angle after a Cancellieri assist.

Pedro almost marked his farewell with a curling effort off his right foot, but Semper again got his fingertips to it and pushed it inches wide.

Pisa took the lead after Reda Belahyane was dispossessed in midfield, triggering a counter-attack. Michel Aebischer delivered the cross and Stefano Moreo headed home from six yards unmarked.

Pisa almost doubled their lead moments later with another cross from the right. This time Furlanetto reacted quickly to make a crucial save on a volley at the back post.

Lazio equalized after Belahyane made amends for his earlier mistake. He drove down the left, nutmegged his opponent, and rolled the ball across for Fisayo Dele-Bashiru. Dele-Bashiru turned his marker and swept the finish in from 12 yards.

Pedro completed the turnaround in his final appearance for Lazio, bending a precise left-foot shot into the far bottom corner from outside the area.

Luca Pellegrini forced Semper into a save on the counter-attack. Mario Gila was forced off at half-time with a muscular twinge.

Pisa lost Mehdi Leris to what looked like a bad ankle sprain. Boulaye Dia then came close but failed to tap in Noslin’s pull-back from point-blank range.

Semper made another fingertip save to deny Daniel Maldini’s curling effort and keep the scoreline down. Despite that, it was a ninth straight defeat for Pisa.
