David Njoku sets visit with Los Angeles Chargers after 9 seasons in Cleveland...

Pro Bowl tight end David Njoku is scheduled to visit the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday, per multiple reports.

The 29-year-old also met with the Baltimore Ravens in March, but Baltimore chose to sign elsewhere. Njoku is entering his 10th NFL season after spending the first nine with Cleveland.

Njoku’s production dipped in 2025: he finished with 4 touchdowns, his lowest mark in three seasons, and 293 receiving yards, his fewest since recording 213 yards in 2020.

His only Pro Bowl selection came in 2023 after career-best numbers across the board - 81 catches, 121 targets, 882 yards, and 6 touchdowns. He hasn’t topped any of those totals since.

Injuries cost him 11 games over the last two years, including ankle and hamstring issues in 2024 and multiple knee problems in 2025.

The Chargers added former Ravens backup Charlie Kolar on a three-year, $24.3 million deal this offseason. He’ll slot in behind second-year tight end Oronde Gadsden, who had 664 yards and 3 touchdowns as a rookie.

Los Angeles went 11-6 in 2025 and fell to New England in the AFC Wild Card round. By contrast, Cleveland has managed just two winning seasons and two playoff berths since Njoku entered the league in 2017.

Over that same span, the Chargers posted six winning records and four playoff appearances, with three of the last four ending in Wild Card losses.11
