Alessio Lisci has been dismissed by Osasuna after leading the club to LaLiga survival, with the board opting for a change ahead of next season.

Osasuna have dismissed manager Alessio Lisci even after he guided the team to LaLiga safety, the club confirmed on Monday.
“The club thanks the Italian coach for his dedication, effort and commitment during the season with the rojillo side,” Osasuna said in their statement.

The board decided to end Lisci’s contract because of how the season finished. The team went from chasing European places to only securing survival on the final matchday.
With this decision, Osasuna have also parted ways with the coaching staff who worked alongside Lisci at El Sadar. The group includes Alberto Gines, Dario Navarro, Gianluca Troilo and Joan Garcia.

“Both to Alessio and his staff, Club Atletico Osasuna wishes them the best of luck in their future professional challenges,” concludes the dismissal statement.
