Milwaukee Brewers starter Jacob Misiorowski exited Friday’s game against the Washington Nationals with an injury while pitching a no-hitter through 5.1 innings.

The 24-year-old signaled to the dugout and came off the mound moments after blowing a fastball past James Wood for the first out of the sixth.

That 98.9 mph fastball was actually his slowest of the night. Earlier he had reeled off five straight at 102.0 mph or harder, topping out at 103.0.

Before leaving, the Brewers right-hander had struck out eight and walked two, retiring 12 batters in a row to keep the no-hitter intact.

Coming into Friday, Misiorowski had put together a solid start to the year over six outings. The 2024 rookie All-Star carried a 3.31 ERA and led the National League with 51 strikeouts.
