After leading Bologna to their first Coppa Italia in 51 years, Italiano departs by mutual consent. Napoli are reportedly eyeing him to replace Antonio Conte...
Bologna and manager Vincenzo Italiano have agreed to part ways, the club confirmed on Thursday. The announcement comes as Italian media report he’s being linked with a move to Serie A rivals Napoli.
Italiano, who previously managed Fiorentina, joined Bologna in 2024. In his first season he guided them to their first Coppa Italia win in 51 years. This season Bologna finished 8th in Serie A and made it to the Europa League quarter-finals.
“Italiano has informed the club that he considers his time at Bologna to be over, following two seasons marked by excellent results, regardless of any future career prospects,” Bologna said in a statement.
“The club would like to thank Vincenzo for the passion and dedication with which he has carried out his work over the past few years, which will remain in the club's history.”
Napoli confirmed the exit of manager Antonio Conte earlier this week after finishing 2nd in Serie A.
