With Sinner, the overwhelming title favorite, knocked out earlier Thursday by Juan Manuel Cerundolo, world No. 6 Felix Auger-Aliassime is now the highest-ranked player remaining in the top half of the men’s draw.
Collignon, who made the third round of last year’s US Open, will next play either Matteo Arnaldi or former finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas for a spot in the last 16.
