Antoine Semenyo is in the running for the 2025/26 EA Sports Premier League Player of the Season award.
The Ghana forward is one of eight players nominated, joining Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, Arsenal trio David Raya, Gabriel Magalhaes and Declan Rice, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White, and Brentford’s Igor Thiago. Semenyo earned the nod after winning the Carabao Cup, picking up Player of the Month, and scoring six goals since joining City in January.
Fans can vote until 12:00 BST on Monday, May 18th. The public vote will be combined with a panel of football experts, and the winner will be announced on May 23rd.
Semenyo’s 2025/26 season has been one of the most unusual the Premier League has seen in years.
He started the campaign at Bournemouth, where he quickly made a name for himself as one of the league’s most dangerous attackers. That form caught Manchester City’s attention, and they signed him in January.

It's time to get voting for your @EASPORTSFC Player of the Season 🗳️
The move paid off straight away. In February alone he scored three goals and set up another across five Premier League games for City, a run that earned him his first EA Sports Player of the Month award.
Semenyo has played 35 Premier League games this season, scoring 16 goals and adding four assists so far.
Among the nominees, only Erling Haaland with 26 goals and Brentford’s Igor Thiago have scored more.
It’s been a breakout year for the 26-year-old Ghanaian. He’s shown he can finish chances, but also brings the pace, directness and versatility needed to fit into Pep Guardiola’s system.
