Frank Lampard has been voted Manager of the Year by his fellow managers after guiding Coventry City back to the Premier League for the first time in 25 years.
Coventry secured the Championship title by 11 points, returning to the top flight with a style of play built around attacking football.
The former England midfielder beat out seven other managers, including Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, to win the Sir Alex Ferguson Trophy at Tuesday’s League Managers Association awards.
“Your personality as a manager and a leader is so clearly defined in how your team has played great football this season, with confidence and self-belief, and I've enjoyed watching them,” said former Manchester United boss Ferguson.
