Kylian Mbappe was back on the training pitch on Friday after overcoming a hamstring issue, just in time for Sunday’s Clasico against Barcelona. Aurelien Tchouameni also joined the session following his reported clash with teammate Federico Valverde.

Real Madrid confirmed that their leading scorer had missed the last fortnight but managed to take part in part of the main group workout two days before the trip to Barcelona.

Tchouameni trained as normal the day after his confrontation with Valverde, which was said to have left the Uruguayan needing stitches.

Real Madrid confirmed that both players are facing internal disciplinary proceedings following the altercation at training, one of several similar incidents in recent weeks.

 

Tensions within the squad have risen as Real face the possibility of going a second straight season without silverware.

Sitting 11 points clear at the top, Barcelona will clinch the La Liga title with just a draw in Sunday’s Clasico.
