Canada followed up their 5-3 win over Sweden on opening day with a 6-0 rout of Italy in Fribourg, jumping on the board early and never letting go.

Dylan Holloway, Fraser Minten and captain Macklin Celebrini all scored in the first period to give Canada control right out of the gate.

Celebrini grabbed his second early in the second, making it 4-0 in the 23rd minute. Evan Bouchard then added the game’s only power-play goal before Ryan O’Reilly capped the scoring late in the period.

Canada face a tougher test next when they take on Denmark in two days.
