Toronto Blue Jays rookie Charles McAdoo wasted no time making his mark, homering in his MLB debut Friday vs the Baltimore Orioles.
The 24-year-old took Trevor Rogers deep to right field in the top of the seventh, cutting Toronto’s deficit to one run.
McAdoo had been tearing it up at Triple-A before his promotion, playing 50 games with a .250 average, 8 homers, 27 RBI, and 7 steals before getting the big-league call.

Those 8 Triple-A home runs this year already matched half of his 2024 total - he hit 16 in 121 games at Double-A last season while also swiping 34 bases.
The California product was a 13th-round pick by the Pirates in the 2023 MLB Draft. Pittsburgh shipped him to Toronto at the 2024 deadline in the Isiah Kiner-Falefa trade.
Now he’s wearing blue and white for the defending AL champs.
