Tunisia revealed their 26-player roster for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Friday evening.

The Carthage Eagles are heading to their seventh World Cup and will be aiming to make it out of the group stage for the first time ever.

Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Ellyes Skhiri leads head coach Sabri Lamouchi’s squad and will captain the North African side.

Burnley’s Hannibal Mejbri is also in, marking his second straight World Cup appearance. PSG youngster Khalil Ayari made the cut as well.

The biggest shock is the exclusion of Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane. He was Tunisia’s top scorer in qualifying and scored the dramatic 94th-minute winner against Equatorial Guinea.

Tunisia topped their qualifying group ahead of Namibia, Liberia, Malawi, Equatorial Guinea, and São Tomé and Príncipe, finishing with 28 points from 10 matches to book their spot at the World Cup automatically.

The 2004 African champions have landed in Group F for the tournament, where they’ll face the Netherlands, Japan, and Sweden.

They kick off against Sweden on June 14 at Estadio BBVA in Guadalupe. After that, they take on Japan six days later, and wrap up the group stage against the Netherlands on June 25 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
