Inter Milan bounced back from a three-match winless streak in style, thrashing Roma 5-2 at the San Siro. This impressive win sees Roma's win streak come to an end, with them winning just one of their last seven games across all competitions.

Roma had aimed to secure consecutive league wins for the first time since mid-January, but their chances were dealt a blow early on, with Inter scoring within the first minute. 

Marcus Thuram's brilliant run down the right flank led to a crucial pass to Lautaro Martínez, who expertly beat his marker and fired Inter ahead. Mile Svilar had no chance of stopping the shot, but he did manage to make some impressive saves against strikes from Hakan Calhanoglu and another from Martínez, preventing a disastrous start for his team.

Inter Milan is currently top of the Serie A table, with 58 points from 24 games, ahead of city rivals AC Milan. 

AS Roma gained momentum and pushed for an equaliser, with Yann Sommer making a stunning save to claw away Donyell Malen's header following a free-kick. Malen had another shot that just missed the target, and it was Roma's best chance until they equalised five minutes before half-time.

Ateba's goal sparked a lively second half, with Inter responding strongly. 

Devyne Rensch's excellent work down the left flank led to a precise cross, which Gianluca Mancini headed home, equalizing for Roma. However, Inter Milan quickly regained the lead when Hakan Calhanoglu scored a stunning goal from over 30 yards out, just before half-time.

The match was intense, with Inter Milan ultimately winning 5-2. 

Inter Milan's momentum shifted after Calhanoglu's goal, and they capitalized with two more goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Thuram's aerial win set up a three-on-two, leading to Martínez's second goal of the night. Then, Thuram scored himself, flicking Calhanoglu's corner past Sommer.

The match was intense, with Inter ultimately winning 5-2. 

Just after the hour mark, Nicolo Barella picked up a loose ball and set up a goal-scoring opportunity. His pass ricocheted back to him, and he took advantage of the opened-up Roma defence to score Inter Milan's fifth goal.

Roma pulled one back 20 minutes from time through Lorenzo Pellegrini, who finished well after Donyell Malen stretched the Inter Milan defense. However, Inter Milan's Denzel Dumfries missed a golden chance to extend their lead, and Svilar made a crucial save to deny Pio Esposito. Inter Milan now has 10 wins in their last 12 head-to-head matches against Roma, while Roma remains winless in their last five Serie A away games.
