Former England international Raheem Sterling is reportedly set to leave Feyenoord at the end of the season.

Sterling, 31, joined Feyenoord on a short-term deal in February after being released by Chelsea. In 333 minutes and four starts, he failed to score and registered just one assist, struggling to live up to expectations or recapture his old form.

Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad reported Tuesday that Sterling’s time in Rotterdam will be limited to just four months. The Englishman, left on the bench during Feyenoord’s 2-2 draw with NEC Nijmegen, is set to depart after failing to impress.

Robin van Persie’s Feyenoord are fighting for second place, which would secure qualification for the League Phase of next season’s UEFA Champions League. In Sterling’s final four games in red and white, Feyenoord face FC Groningen, Fortuna Sittard, AZ, and PEC Zwolle as they defend a one-point lead over KNVB Beker finalists NEC Nijmegen.
