FC Volendam held Feyenoord to a 0-0 draw, handing PSV the Eredivisie title. PSV needed anything but a Feyenoord win to secure the championship, and they got it in style.

Feyenoord's failure to beat Volendam meant PSV's 4-3 win over Utrecht on Saturday was enough to seal the deal. The Eindhoven outfit now has an 18-point lead, and they've been crowned champions for the 27th time.

Feyenoord's Robin van Persie was forced into two late changes - Anel Ahmedhodzic and Anis Hadj Moussa were out injured. Gonçalo Borges and Thijs Kraaijeveld started in their place.

The game was tight for the first 20 minutes, with only Raheem Sterling and Borges testing the goalkeepers. Then Volendam started getting more aggressive around Feyenoord's box, but Aurelio Oehlers and Anthony Descotte couldn't deliver that killer blow.

Feyenoord pushed hard for a penalty when Ayase Ueda was brought down, but referee Allard Lindhout wasn't buying it. Instead, Robin van Persie got booked for protesting the decision. With just 45 minutes left, PSV was one win away from securing the title.

It took an hour for things to heat up in the boxes, with Descotte testing Wellenreuther and Moder forcing a save from Van Oevelen. The tension was building!

Aymen Sliti had a golden opportunity to put Feyenoord ahead with 10 minutes left, but he headed wide. Volendam piled on the pressure late, with Benjamin Pauwels getting a great chance in the 88th minute - but Wellenreuther stood tall.

Ayase Ueda had a late chance, heading a tricky ball at Van Oevelen in the 2nd minute of injury time. The keeper made a great save, keeping it out of the bottom corner - and PSV were seconds away from clinching the title.

Volendam held firm, and it was enough. PSV won their 27th league title, and Feyenoord's gap to them widened to 17 points.
