Inter could seal the Scudetto this weekend with a win over Torino, but Napoli and AC Milan aim to delay celebrations. All eyes on Milan vs Juventus in the top-four race.

Inter Milan can win the 2026 Scudetto vs Torino. AC Milan face Juventus, Napoli play Cremonese. Top-four race, Rabiot, Chivu latest...

Inter Milan get their first chance to wrap up the Serie A title Sunday when they face Torino, as Napoli and AC Milan aim to postpone the party for at least another week.

With five matches left, Cristian Chivu’s Inter hold a 12-point lead over both title holders Napoli and second-placed Milan.

Inter will know by Friday night if they can secure a 21st league title this weekend, when Napoli face relegation-threatened Cremonese.

If Napoli drop points, Inter can head to Turin knowing a win over Torino would deliver the Scudetto with four games left.

Inter would still need to wait on the outcome of Milan’s marquee San Siro meeting with Juventus, a match also crucial to both clubs’ Champions League ambitions.

Inter will learn by Friday night whether a 21st league title is possible this weekend, as Napoli host relegation-battling Cremonese.

Should Napoli fail to win, Inter will face Torino in Turin with a chance to clinch the Scudetto with four matches remaining.

Inter would still have to wait on Milan’s high-profile San Siro showdown with Juventus, a game that also has major implications for both sides’ Champions League qualification hopes.

Clinching the league with four games left would be impressive, especially since Inter looked shaky before the latest international break while Napoli and Milan seemed poised to overtake them.

But nine points from nine and 12 goals in three games since club football returned have swung momentum back to Inter, and it now seems only a matter of time before the title is decided.

Inter head into the game chasing a domestic double after a dramatic victory over Como secured their spot in next month’s Italian Cup final against Lazio.

Regardless of Napoli’s and Milan’s results, Inter know four points from their final matches will clinch the title.

Milan are in the strange spot of possibly handing the Scudetto to their city rivals, though that would still be less painful than two years ago when a derby loss gave Inter the title.

But Massimiliano Allegri’s team are on the verge of a Champions League return, holding an eight-point cushion over fifth-placed Como.

Milan are likely to secure a top-four finish even with a loss Sunday, but Juve’s position is less secure. They sit fourth, five points ahead of Como and sixth-placed Roma.

Como, who squandered a two-goal lead before their Cup exit to Inter, face a tough test this weekend away to an in-form Genoa side that could confirm safety.

Key Figure: Adrien Rabiot

French midfielder Rabiot meets his former club Sunday and will lead Milan’s push against Juve in partnership with Luka Modric.

Rabiot has justified Allegri’s trust with six goals and four assists in 25 Serie A games, his latest goal at Verona last weekend highlighting his driving runs and clinical finishing.

The 31-year-old joined Milan largely at Allegri’s urging after Marseille released him in August following a physical altercation with teammate Jonathan Rowe.

Rabiot was central to Juve’s last Serie A triumph in 2020 and spent four more seasons with the Turin club before his move to Marseille.
