Elfsborg moved to the top of the Allsvenskan for now after a 2-1 home win over Djurgarden extended their unbeaten start. Brommapojkarna also won on Wednesday evening, while Hammarby and Hacken were both held to draws.
Elfsborg Leave It Late to Extend Unbeaten Run
Djurgarden’s perfect start ended with defeat to Malmö at the weekend, but they went ahead after 19 minutes tonight when Bo Hegland’s corner was headed in at the near post by Piotr Johansson.

Elfsborg hit back immediately and won a penalty when Matias Siltanen fouled off the ball at a corner. Frederik Ihler converted to make it 1-1 on 25 minutes.
It stayed 1-1 until the 88th minute, when a short corner was whipped to the near post and Leo Ostman’s presence forced Jacob Rinne to fumble into his own net.
Elfsborg are the first side to hit double figures for points this season, although Sirius or Malmö can overtake them when they face each other on Thursday. For Djurgarden, it’s now two wins and two defeats from four.
Ladefoged Hat-Trick Not Enough as Hacken Fight Back Twice
Newly-promoted Vasteras, the only side to take a point off Elfsborg so far, moved to five points with a thrilling 3-3 draw against Hacken. The visitors twice came from behind to stay unbeaten.
Mikkel Ladefoged was the star for Vasteras, heading them in front after four minutes from Ismet Lushaku’s corner. Hacken levelled eight minutes later when Jeremy Agbonifo tapped in Adrian Svanbäck’s low cross after a quick break.

Vasteras retook the lead just before half-time, with Ladefoged driving into the box and curling a superb right-footed shot beyond the keeper.
Vasteras looked on course for a first home win since their top-flight return as the hour approached. Jonathan Ring won the ball in Hacken’s half and slid in Ladefoged, who finished with his left foot to seal a perfect hat-trick.
But it wasn’t to be for Grönvitt. Six minutes later, Adrian Svanbäck went from provider to scorer after good work from Mikkel Rygaard. Then, with seven minutes left, Amor Layouni set up Filip Helander to snatch a point for the Gothenburg side, who sit third on eight points.Elfsborg moved top of the Allsvenskan with a late 2-1 win over Djurgarden. The 3Arena was stunned in the 10th minute when Warner Hahn could only parry Ludvig Arvidsson’s shot to Otso Liimatta, who slotted home the rebound.
Bajen dominated possession and chances from then on. After hitting eight past Örgryte at the weekend, they were kept out until the 58th minute when a corner dropped to Frank Junior Adjei on the edge of the box and he rifled it into the top corner.
Despite having over half an hour to find a winner, Hammarby couldn’t break through and sit fourth on seven points, even though they’ve scored at least three more goals than any other side. Halmstad remain winless but doubled their points tally tonight.
Brommapojkarna Claim First Win as Orgryte Slump Again
