Froholdt, just 20, has been impressive since joining Porto from FC Copenhagen this summer, with 7 goals and 6 assists in 44 games. Farioli highlighted his importance to the team, and it seems Porto's got a gem in this young midfielder.
“Today I want to give the award to a teammate. I think Pepe had a great game; he hadn’t scored in a while, and I don’t think people realize just how good he is. He deserves the award. We came out with the high pressing we wanted, kept the game in their half, especially in the first half. In the second half, we struggled at times, but overall we succeeded with the mentality and game plan we brought into the match,” said Froholdt after the game.
