Musetti ends win drought, sets up Fils clash in Barcelona QF...
Italian second seed Lorenzo Musetti cruised into the Barcelona Open quarter-finals on Thursday after a straight-sets win over France’s Corentin Moutet.
The world No. 9 will meet rising French star Arthur Fils in the last eight following his 6-3, 6-4 victory.
He is now the top seed remaining in Barcelona after Carlos Alcaraz withdrew on Wednesday due to a wrist injury.

Musetti was strong on clay last season, making at least the semi-finals at the ATP 1000 tournaments in Monte Carlo, Madrid and Rome, plus the French Open.
However, he has struggled with form and fitness this year and is yet to win an ATP title since 2022.
Musetti had lost his opening matches at both Indian Wells and the Monte Carlo Masters, after being forced to retire injured from his Australian Open quarter-final against Novak Djokovic in January.

But after beating Martin Landaluce for his first win since Melbourne on Tuesday, he looked sharp against Moutet and was far too strong for the world No. 31.
Earlier on Thursday, Russian fifth seed Andrey Rublev beat Lorenzo Sonego 6-2, 6-3 to book a quarter-final against Tomas Machac, who advanced after Alcaraz’s withdrawal.
In the day’s final match, ninth seed Arthur Fils defeated Brandon Nakashima 6-2, 6-3.
