Minnesota star Anthony Edwards is expected to miss “multiple weeks” after injuring his knee Saturday night in the Timberwolves’ NBA Playoffs victory over the Denver Nuggets.

Sources say Edwards sustained bone bruising and hyperextension of the knee during the game.
Tests showed no ligament damage, and he will start rehab immediately.

“Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has sustained a bone bruise and hyperextension in his left knee and is expected to miss multiple weeks, sources tell ESPN.
“Results showed Edwards avoided any ligament damage, but he will now miss time.”
The sixth-seeded Timberwolves beat the third-seeded Nuggets 112-96 on Saturday, taking a 3-1 lead in the series.
The best-of-seven series continues Monday night in Denver.
