Team USA enters the 2026 WBC with an unbeatable lineup, Aaron Judge, Cal Raleigh, Gunnar Henderson, elite pitching from Skenes & Skubal. See the full historic roster and path to redemption vs. Japan.

The 2026 World Baseball Classic is set to get underway this week, with pool play kicking off as early as March 5 and Team USA's games starting March 6. The Americans are gearing up for what could be their most dominant run yet in the tournament's history, fielding arguably the deepest and most talented roster ever assembled for the event.

Managed by Mark DeRosa once again, Team USA enters the fray with serious motivation to exact revenge on defending champions Team Japan after that heartbreaking championship defeat in 2023. This time around, the stars have aligned in a big way, with elite pitching aces, MVP-caliber hitters, and explosive young talent throughout the lineup positioning the U.S. not just to reclaim the title, but to potentially run away with it and establish total dominance from start to finish.

Team USA's roster boasts some serious MLB cred: 64 All-Star selections, 20 Silver Sluggers, 12 Gold Gloves, six MVP awards, three Cy Young Awards, and three Platinum Gloves among its 30 players.

The team's average age is 27 years and seven months, with Clayton Kershaw (37) being the oldest and Roman Anthony (21) the youngest.

Cal Raleigh (Seattle Mariners) and Will Smith (Los Angeles Dodgers) will handle catching duties. Raleigh, 29, had a historic season, hitting 60 home runs and driving in 125 runs, earning him his first All-Star selection and Silver Slugger award. His 2023 season is widely regarded as the greatest hitting season by a catcher in MLB history.

Raleigh's power numbers are for real – he led MLB in home runs and AL in RBIs.

Will Smith, 30, is a force behind the plate, with three All-Star appearances and three World Series titles under his belt. He was on pace for a career-high batting average, hitting .296 in just 110 games. If he played 20 more, he'd likely lead catchers in average.

Smith's a clutch performer, and his postseason experience will be huge for Team USA.

Paul Goldschmidt (St. Louis Cardinals, not Yankees) and Bryce Harper (Philadelphia Phillies) anchor first base. They're a dynamic duo with 3 MVPs, 9 Silver Sluggers, and 4 Gold Gloves between them. Goldschmidt's a 7-time All-Star, while Harper's an 8-time All-Star.

Goldschmidt (37) and Harper (33) might not be in their primes, but they're still got it. Goldschmidt hit .274 last season despite a low 10 HR, while Harper slugged 27 HRs and drove in 75 runs with a .261 average. They're a formidable 1B duo, bringing experience and power.

Brice Turang's breakout season is on full display – 18 home runs, 81 RBIs, and a .288 batting average in 2025. The 26-year-old second baseman is playing with confidence, and it shows in his numbers.

Turang's not just a hit machine; he's a defensive wizard too. He won the Platinum Glove Award and his first Gold Glove in 2024, making him a key piece for Team USA's infield.

Bobby Witt Jr. (25) and Gunnar Henderson bring youth and firepower to the SS spot. Witt's already racked up 2 Gold Gloves, 1 Platinum Glove, 2 Silver Sluggers, and 2 All-Star appearances in just two seasons. He was AL MVP runner-up in 2024 and fourth in 2025.

Witt's a generational talent with elite hitting and defense.

Bobby Witt Jr.'s been on fire, leading MLB in hits the past two seasons and topping the league in doubles (47) in 2025. He's also swiping bags, with 38 stolen bases tied for third in the league.

Gunnar Henderson (24) is making waves too – AL Rookie of the Year, an All-Star, and a Silver Slugger. He hit .274 with 30 stolen bases in his first four seasons.

At third base is three-time All-Star Alex Bregman (Chicago Cubs). Bregman, 31, who has a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger award to his name, is coming off a solid season. His .272 batting average was his best since his career-year in 2019, despite only hitting 18 home runs (a career low - 100 games min.).

He'll be joined by Toronto's Ernie Clement (29), who hit a solid .277 last season with nine home runs and 50 RBI.

Aaron Judge is bringing the heat in right field. The 7-time All-Star and 3-time AL MVP hit .331 with 53 HRs and 114 RBIs last season, leading MLB in AVG, OBP, SLG, and OPS. He's a force to be reckoned with.

Buxton (Twins), Crow-Armstrong (Cubs), and Anthony (Red Sox) round out the outfield. Buxton's had a career year with 35 HRs, 83 RBIs, and 24 steals. Crow-Armstrong's a Gold Glove winner and rising star at 23, while 21-year-old Anthony's making waves as a rookie.

The team's designated hitter will be the three-time All-Star and reigning NL leader in home runs, Kyle Schwarber (Philadelphia Phillies).

Schwarber, 32, led the NL in home runs with 56 (No. 2 in MLB behind Raleigh) and led all of MLB with 132 RBI. He finished as the NL MVP runner-up to the Los Angeles Dodgers and Team Japan superstar Shohei Ohtani.

The veteran, coming off his 11th season, has hit at least 45 home runs in three of the past four years. He also hit a solo home run during the 2023 WBC title game against Japan that cut their deficit to 3-2 off Yu Darvish.

Kyle Schwarber's the DH for Team USA. The 3-time All-Star led the NL in HRs (56) and MLB in RBIs (132), finishing NL MVP runner-up to Shohei Ohtani.

Schwarber's a clutch performer with a big bat, hitting 45+ HRs in 3 of the past 4 years. He even homered in the 2023 WBC title game vs Japan.

Taik Skubal (Tigers) and Paul Skenes (Pirates) lead the pitching staff – they're the reigning AL and NL Cy Young winners, widely considered the top two pitchers globally.

Tarik Skubal's a dominant force, back-to-back Cy Young winner and 2024 AL Triple Crown pitcher (18-2, 2.39 ERA, 228 Ks). But he's limited to one WBC start, then heads back to Tigers' camp.

Paul Skenes is making his mark early – at 23, he's a Cy Young winner with a 1.97 ERA and 216 Ks. He's limited to two WBC starts, though.

Team USA's got a loaded rotation with:
  • Clay Holmes (Mets)
  • Nolan McLean (Mets, rookie sensation)
  • Clayton Kershaw (Dodgers, future HOF, retiring after this season)
  • Matthew Boyd (Cubs)
  • Michael Wacha (Royals)
  • Logan Webb (Giants)
  • Ryan Yarbrough (Yankees, replacing injured Joe Ryan)

With Skenes and Skubal limited, it's a toss-up between Boyd, Holmes, and Webb for Team USA's top starters. They're a loaded trio, combining for 17 All-Star selections (Kershaw's got 11 of 'em).

Matthew Boyd's had a breakout All-Star season with a 3.21 ERA and 154 Ks. Clay Holmes, a new starter in '25, posted a 3.53 ERA and 129 Ks.

Logan Webb led the NL in innings (207) and Ks (224), earning his 2nd All-Star nod, 1st Gold Glove, and 4th Cy Young vote.

Miller's the young gun reliever, 27 and bringing the heat. His fastball touches 105mph, paired with a nasty slider (55% whiff rate).

Mason Miller (Padres) anchors the bullpen as a dominant closer. He's joined by Brad Keller (Phillies), Garrett Cleavinger and Griffin Jax (Rays), Garrett Whitlock (Red Sox), and Gabe Speier (Mariners).

And, surprisingly, he's the only All-Star in Team USA's bullpen who all finished the 2025 season with an ERA below 2.65 besides Jax (4.23).

That, ladies and gentlemen, is your 2026 Team USA WBC roster.
