FC Porto have confirmed midfielder Rodrigo Mora is out with a muscle injury, ruling him out of national team duty.

Mora was subbed off at halftime in Porto's Europa League win over Stuttgart and has been diagnosed with a left thigh muscle injury. Diogo Costa is also being treated for lower back pain.

Porto's training session kicked off Friday morning, with midfielder Rodrigo Mora's injury casting a shadow over proceedings. Mora's thigh pain from the Stuttgart match is expected to keep him sidelined for the SC Braga game.

Diogo Costa, the standout goalkeeper, is also dealing with back pain, but hopefully it's not serious.

“The FC Porto medical report includes the names of Diogo Costa (treatment for lower back pain), Nehuen Perez (restricted training), Rodrigo Mora (treatment for a muscle injury in the left thigh), Luuk de Jong (treatment and gym work), and Samu (treatment and gym work),” the club's statement continued.

Roberto Martinez announced the squad for Portugal's final prep matches before the 2026 World Cup, and Rodrigo Mora and Diogo Costa were among those called up. Unfortunately, Mora's injury means he'll miss out, but Costa is expected to join the training camp on Monday.

FC Porto will resume training on Saturday, gearing up for their Liga Portugal clash with Braga. Mora's likely to miss this game too, but Costa should be back soon.
