Recap NHL Games: Draisaitl Injured, Groulx Shines in Multi-Goal Debut

Edmonton Oilers' Leon Draisaitl left Sunday's game against Nashville Predators with an injury after scoring in the first period.


Toronto's Bo Groulx had a standout performance, scoring his first multi-goal game in the team's win over Minnesota Wild.



Oilers 3-1 Predators

Draisaitl scored the Oilers' opener with his 35th goal, assisted by McDavid, before leaving with an injury.


McDavid recorded an assist on all three Oilers' goals, leading the league with 114 points (37G, 77A) as Edmonton improved to 33-26-9. Nashville fell to 29-28-9.



Maple Leafs 4-2 Wild

Bo Groulx scored a career-high two goals, leading Toronto to a win over Minnesota. He had only scored two goals in 68 games prior to this game.


Groulx finished with a 7.8 rating, helping the Leafs to a 3-0 lead in the second period. Toronto improved to 29-27-17, while Minnesota dropped to 38-18-12.






Six Seattle players had at least two points, led by Kaapo Kakko's 1G-2A performance. Jamie Oleksiak had a season-high 8.3 rating.


Seattle scored four unanswered goals to snap Florida's three-game win streak. The Kraken improved to 31-26-9, while the Panthers fell to 33-30-3.




Ducks 4-3 Canadiens

Leo Carlsson scored two goals and finished with an 8.9 rating, but Montreal retook the lead after he left the ice. Troy Terry scored in his return from injury to tie it up.


Cutter Gauthier scored the winner with under three minutes left, lifting Anaheim to 37-27-3. Montreal fell to 36-20-10.




Senators 7-4 Sharks

Ottawa trailed 3-2 before scoring five of the next six goals to take control. Six Sens players had multiple points, led by Drake Batherson's two goals.


Fabian Zetterlund had an 8.3 rating as Ottawa improved to 34-23-9. San Jose fell to 32-27-6.


Jets 3-2 Blues

Winnipeg led 2-0 but had to fend off a late Blues rally. Kyle Connor scored the Jets' third goal after St. Louis' Dalibor Dvorsky cut the lead to 2-1.


The Jets held on to improve to 28-28-10. St. Louis fell to 27-30-10.
