Kraken Fall Short in Thriller Against Panthers
The Seattle Kraken staged an incredible comeback, earning a point despite ultimately falling 5-4 to the Florida Panthers in a shootout.
The Panthers looked set for a comfortable win, taking a three-goal lead twice. With Noah Gregor's goal and 7:39 left, it seemed all but over.
But the Kraken staged a stunning comeback. In just two minutes and 20 seconds, they tied it up with goals from Matthew Beniers, Jordan Eberle, and Bobby McMann, leaving the home fans stunned.

In the end, Florida would still have the last laugh. The game went to a shootout, where Vinnie Hinostroza was the only skater to convert his attempt as the Panthers won 1-0.
While there is next to no chance of the Panthers defending their Stanley Cup crown, they can enjoy their 35th win of the season.
The victory also meant Paul Maurice earned his 2,000th success as a head coach in the league, becoming just the second coach to reach that number.

Preds Cruise Past Sharks Behind Five-Goal First Period
Jonathan Marchessault was key for the Predators, with three assists, despite not scoring himself. Nashville's five-goal first period was more than enough to secure a 6-3 win over San Jose.
The Sharks briefly tied it up after Filip Forsberg's goal, but the Predators took control from there. By the end of the first, they'd added four more goals through Wood, Josi, Evangeslita, and Skjei.
San Jose's late goals from William Smith were just consolation shots, as they struggled to capitalize on chances. The Predators' early dominance proved too much to overcome.
Nashville's win gives them a bit of breathing room for the final Western Conference playoff spot, now three points ahead of the Los Angeles Kings. It's their fifth straight win.
San Jose's playoff chances are slipping away, seven points back with their opponents now. Their postseason hopes are dwindling.
