West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo bans Adama Traore from lifting weights at the club's gym, saying the winger is 'already big enough'. Traore could play a key role in West Ham's relegation battle.

“It's one of the things that I think he needs to realise. It's enough weight that he carries...”

West Ham United's Adama Traore is being told to ease up on the weight. Manager Nuno Espirito Santo has banned the winger from lifting weights at the club's gym, saying he's already big enough. This comes after teammate Crysencio Summerville posted a video of Traore bench-pressing 145kg, showcasing his impressive physique.

Traore's muscular frame is no surprise to fans, given his explosive pace and power on the pitch. With Nuno's orders in place, will Traore focus on agility and speed instead?

“It's incredible (his physique), it's genetics,” Espirito Santo told a news conference on Tuesday ahead of ‌his relegation-threatened side's crucial clash at London rivals Fulham.

“(But) ‌his genetics has been like this for some time now and he should avoid the gym. I've told him to stay out of the gym.

“It's one of the things that I think he needs to realise. It's enough weight that he carries.”

Adama Traore, the 30-year-old Spanish winger, joined West Ham from Fulham in January and has made four substitute league appearances so far. His former Wolves manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, believes Traore could be a game-changer in West Ham's relegation battle, praising his unique combination of pace, skill, and one-versus-one ability.

Espirito Santo has also revealed that Traore has been banned from lifting weights at the club's gym, citing his impressive physique as the reason. “He's a talent that we have to take advantage of, but it will take time,” Espirito Santo said.

“Traore's unique. There are not many players in world football with his ability, pace and skills in one-versus-one situations,” he said. “He's a talent that we have to take advantage of, but it will take time.

“He has to adapt and ‌understand the dynamic of the team. But he's proven in England and in the Spain ‌squad not long ago, so we're talking about a high-level player.”

The speed demon Adama Traore! Traore, who came through Barcelona's youth ranks, has been clocked at 37kph and once joked he'd beat Usain Bolt in a short sprint on grass! That's confidence, right? Nuno Espirito Santo is banking on that pace and skill to help West Ham in the relegation battle.
