Dallas Stars dominate with 4-goal second period, beating Pittsburgh Penguins 6-3...

A busy Saturday night in the NHL saw 30 of 32 teams take the ice with plenty of action as the push for the playoffs nears.

The Buffalo Sabres ended a three-game losing slide with a 3-2 shootout win over the Seattle Kraken, enjoying one of their best seasons ever.

The NHL was buzzing with action, featuring 30 of 32 teams in play, and here are the highlights:

Sabres Level It Up, Win It in Shootout

Seattle took the lead 12:42 in, thanks to Chandler Stephenson's goal. Things got tougher for Buffalo in the second, when Bobby McMann made it 2-0 Kraken. Rasmus Dahlin got Buffalo on the board later, but they trailed 2-1 at the break.

Buffalo leveled things up in the third period, with Peyton Krebs scoring with under five minutes left, sending the game to overtime.

The Sabres dominated the shootout, with both shooters scoring, while Seattle's players came up empty. Buffalo's win keeps them top of the Eastern Conference, nearing a playoff spot.

Bruins Crush Wild 6-3, Eye Top 8 Spot

Boston's lead didn't last, as Minnesota fought back. But the Bruins weren't having it, scoring three more goals to seal a 6-3 win. Now they're looking strong for a top 8 spot in the East.

Andrew Peeke, Pavel Zacha, and Viktor Arvidsson put the Bruins up 3-0 by the midway mark of the second frame. Kiril Kaprizov got one back for the Wild, making the game a bit interesting heading into the third.

Elias Lindholm made it 4-1 for Boston early in the third, but Minnesota mounted a comeback, with Mats Zuccarello and Ryan Hartman scoring to cut the lead to one.

Still chasing the game, Minnesota continued to attack, searching for their equalizer. Unfortunately for them, it never came. Instead, Zacha and Lindholm scored again, completing the Bruins' win.

Minnesota kept pushing, but it was too late. Zacha and Lindholm sealed the deal, scoring again to hand the Bruins a 6-3 win.

Stars Shine Bright in Pittsburgh, Beat Pens 6-3

Dallas Stars' four-goal second period was the difference-maker in their 6-3 win over Pittsburgh Penguins.

Anthony Mantha gave Pens an early lead, boosting their playoff hopes.

Dallas struck back, Justin Hryckovian tying it up 2 minutes into the second. Erik Karlsson put Pittsburgh back up, but not for long.

That was where the Stars truly came to life. Jason Robertson and Mikko Rantanen scored power play goals to give Dallas their first lead of the night. Lian Bichsel added a fourth moments later, and just like that, it was Pittsburgh chasing the game.
