Oklahoma City Thunder beat New York Knicks 111-100, while Boston Celtics secure playoff berth with win over Charlotte...

The Oklahoma City Thunder, led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's 30 points, defeated the New York Knicks 111-100, solidifying their position as the NBA's best team with a 59-16 record. Jalen Williams contributed 22 points, while Isaiah Hartenstein grabbed 13 rebounds, helping the Thunder extend their lead to 2.5 games ahead of San Antonio in the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics secured a playoff spot with a 114-99 win over Charlotte, thanks to Jayson Tatum's 32 points, eight assists, and five rebounds. The Knicks, led by Jalen Brunson's 32 points, fell to 48-27 and missed an opportunity to clinch a playoff spotm

Gilgeous-Alexander leads Thunder past Knicks.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the reigning NBA MVP, just extended his record-breaking streak to 135 games with 20+ points! He achieved this impressive feat while scoring 30 points in the Thunder's 111-100 win over the New York Knicks. Gilgeous-Alexander's consistency is unmatched, and he's now surpassed Wilt Chamberlain's record of 126 straight games.

“He's MVP for a reason,” Thunder guard Luguentz Dort said of SGA. “He knows the type of shot he's going to get and he's never going to lay down and we know he's always going to be aggressive for us, which he did throughout the whole game.”

The New York Knicks' playoff hopes were put on hold as they fell to 48-27 after losing 111-100 to the Thunder. Jalen Brunson led the charge with 32 points, but it wasn't enough to overcome Oklahoma City's strong performance.

Josh Hart's buzzer-beater at halftime cut the deficit to 53-52, but the Thunder pulled away in the third quarter, leading 84-78 heading into the final period.

The Knicks mounted a late comeback, getting within 92-91 on a 10-0 run. But Shai Gilgeous-Alexander responded with a 10-0 run of his own, hitting back-to-back threes and a jumper to push the Thunder's lead to 106-95. That sealed the deal, with Oklahoma City cruising to a 14th win in 15 games.

“They're a good team. We knew it was going to be a tough one,” said Dort, who scored 12 points. “We just had to stay in there throughout the whole game and we did.

“Every time we play together like that we're hard to beat.”

Playoff Push

Jayson Tatum led the Boston Celtics to a 114-99 win over Charlotte, securing a playoff spot with 32 points, eight assists, and five rebounds. Payton Pritchard added 28 points, pushing Boston within four games of Eastern Conference leader Detroit. The Celtics (50-24) are looking strong!

The LA Clippers extended their winning streak to five games, beating Milwaukee 127-113. Bennedict Mathurin led the charge with 28 points off the bench, while Kawhi Leonard added 20. Despite Gary Trent's 36 points, the Bucks couldn't hold on.

Rockets Roll

Alperen Sengun dominated with 36 points and 14 rebounds, leading Houston to a 134-102 blowout win over New Orleans. Kevin Durant added 20 points to fuel the Rockets' victory.

Pacers' Surprise Win

Pascal Siakam's 30 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists powered Indiana to a 135-118 win over Miami. The Pacers (17-58) grabbed a rare W, despite being the league's worst team.

More Around the League

Brooklyn finally snapped their 10-game losing streak, beating Sacramento 116-99 at home. Ochai Agbaji led the Nets with 18 points, helping them (18-57) clinch the dubious honor of having one of the league's worst records - for now, they're just ahead of Indiana.

R.J. Barrett scored 24 points and Scottie Barnes added 23 as Toronto dominated Orlando 139-87. The Raptors were unstoppable, holding a 31-0 run at one point - an NBA record in the player era (1997-present).

Toumani Camara led Portland with 23 points as they crushed Washington 123-88.
