Oscar Gloukh is taking things easy despite not playing much at Ajax. The 21-year-old midfielder says he's staying patient.

Gloukh joined Ajax from Red Bull Salzburg for €15m in 2025 and started off well, but hasn't gotten much playing time under interim coaches Fred Grim and Óscar García.

The Israeli midfielder's last game for Ajax was on March 1st, a 0-0 draw at PEC Zwolle. He's been on the bench for three games since.

Gloukh recently started for Israel and assisted a goal in a 2-2 draw with Georgia. “This is a period in which I have not played for a long time, even with the previous coach. I was upset that I was not playing; I wanted to play and win,” he told TV5.

“On the other hand, it did me good because I came to the team as hungry as I could. Look at that, I got to the ball, I pressed, you also have to tear up the team. I tried to do everything I could to win, and I hope they appreciate that.”

Spaniard Oscar Garcia took over from Fred Grim in March, making him the third Ajax manager this season and already the second under newly appointed technical director Jordi Cruyff.

Gloukh's spoken with Cruyff about his role and is taking things easy till next season.

“This is a period when the coach prefers other players. Óscar García continues with them. Jordi talked to me, and I am very calm. Trying to finish the season as best I can, and we will see what happens next season. I have a contract, and that is it.”
