FC Midtjylland apologizes after obscuring AGF shirt in social media post supporting Children's Cancer Foundation.
Mistake sees FC Midtjylland blur rival AGF's shirt on Football Shirt Friday promo...
FC Midtjylland is in hot water after a crumbly social media post. The club messed up big time on “Football Shirt Friday,” a campaign supporting the Children's Cancer Foundation, by obscuring a rival team's (AGF) shirt in the promo.
The club quickly owned up to the mistake, saying sorry on X: “We know it was a mistake to obscure the AGF shirt. Sorry about that!”
A social media slip-up for AGF on Friday. They initially posted a pic of fans wearing different jerseys to support a good cause, but then replaced it with a new one where their own shirt was blurred. Looks like they tried to fix something that wasn't broken.
“A shirt in the picture was subsequently blurred. It was an unfortunate human error and not who we are as a club. We regret that.
“Football shirt Friday is about something far more important than rivalries. It is about us as a society standing together for children with cancer and their families. This is the case that deserves attention,” writes FC Midtjylland on Saturday.
