Alex Fitzpatrick claims first DP World Tour title at Indian Open, joining brother Matt as a Tour winner...
Alex Fitzpatrick's got his first DP World Tour title. The Englishman shot a 69 (-3) in the final round, clinching the Indian Open by two strokes. He dominated the back nine with five birdies, turning the tables on overnight leader Eugenio Chacarra.
Fitzpatrick's eight birdies on the day secured his win at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurgaon. Chacarra, who led overnight, couldn't quite match Fitzpatrick's finish.
Matt Fitzpatrick stormed back in round four, outplaying the tough course with solid drives and clutch putts. He trailed last year's winner Chacarra by four shots after day three, but he's made his move.
“I'll try and explain (how it feels) without crying, it's been a lot of hard work for a long time,” said an emotional Fitzpatrick, who finished at nine under overall.
“Over the moon, probably going to cry, but yeah, ecstatic.”
The Fitzpatrick brothers are making waves. Alex joins his big bro Matt as a DP World Tour winner. They're the first siblings to win on back-to-back weeks on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour.

“I see my mum and dad tomorrow and we're going to meet my brother in Florida,” Alex said.
